Looking at this picture, I can't help but imagine a day when Maasailand is completely urbanized, and there will be Dunkin' Donuts franchises where you can get a steaming hot mug o' blood to start off your day *right*.
That first rain after a long dry season can be pretty special, whether a blessing is in order... well, I think that is for each person to decide for herself.
I am a PhD student in the Department of Political Science at Yale University. Throughout 2006 and 2007, I spent 11 months in Kenya researching issues of how national-level institutions and local governance interact. I am now back in the United States writing my dissertation.
